The Engagement Party | Melbourne Local Network Event Wrap-Up

The Engagement Party held in Melbourne in March, provided a roaring start for the 2024 networking series of events. A chatty and hopeful bunch of 64 people came together, with hosts GHD and the working group, welcoming a chance to celebrate and share our passion for engagement.

On the night, people were asked to contribute ideas about their biggest engagement challenge or opportunity that we could tackle at future events. Here’s what some people said….

• A yarn with First Nations people and what is important about engagement….we can start this, do your own research first and read Country Plans and other important documents that are available to you
• A ‘take on’ engagement from a ministerial advisor
• Let’s talk about the worst day of our engagement life!

We also acknowledged and celebrated the many years of engagement work with Toni Meeks (Yarra Valley Water), who is set to retire at the end of March 2024. Congrats Toni and we wish you well.
