Strategies for Challenging Engagement

Are you looking for a range of strategies to deal with complexity and a deeper understanding of challenging engagement situations?
Strategies for Challenging Engagement is the first of three courses to be launched as part of the reinvigorated IAP2 Australasia Advanced Certificate in Engagement.
This course is focused on deep thinking and application of learning to practice. You will explore sources, factors and assumptions that challenge engagement and share experiences and thoughts with other advanced practitioners.
By the end of the Strategies for Challenging Engagement course, you will be able to understand, explore and apply strategies for challenging engagement, and to develop a plan with relevant tactics to achieve strategies at the project and organisational level.
One Day – Virtual Classroom (8:30am – 5pm AEDT)
Course Aim and Objectives
The aim of this course is to understand, explore and apply strategies for challenging engagement, and to develop a plan with relevant tactics to achieve strategies at the project and organisational level.
Participants will:
- Design for challenging engagement projects, including wicked problems.
- Plan a response to challenging projects.
- Understand and manage long-term complex engagement.
Prerequisites
As part of the IAP2 Australasia Advanced Certificate in Engagement, this course has been designed for the experienced practitioner who has:
- completed the IAP2 Australasia Certificate of Engagement.
- a minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading and managing engagement projects, with
- an in-depth understanding of engagement frameworks and practices.
- the requirement to develop strategies, or previous experience in developing engagement strategies.
Applicants who meet the minimum years of experience criteria but have not completed the IAP2 Australasia Certificate of Engagement may still apply for consideration. Your application will be evaluated based on your experience in leading and managing engagement.
Please note: Advanced courses already completed will contribute to the updated Advanced Certificate.
If you do not meet the prerequisite criteria, please consider the other IAP2A courses available in the IAP2A Certificate of Engagement curriculum.
Please note: If you have completed the previous 2-day version of this course titled “Strategies for Complex Engagement ” you don’t need to complete this course.
