Guide to Engaging in Disaster Recovery Now Available

The IAP2 Australasia Guide to Engaging in Disaster Recovery is now available.

Special thanks to Anne Leadbeater and all those involved in the 2015 Masterclasses and working groups who helped put this guide together.

This resource explores some of the challenges likely to be encountered by community leaders and practitioners working to engage and support communities in recovery. It offers a series of helpful recommendations or ‘principles’ for effective engagement that draw on the experience and expertise of emergency management and community engagement professionals from around Australia and New Zealand.

This is now available for use in emergency, health, government, not-for-profit and private sectors, and anybody who needs to engage in emergency situations. We look forward to hearing how you use the Guide in your engagement space.
