From the Chair March 2018

The Board and Management Team have kicked off 2018 with a huge action list and one that we are really excited about. The big ticket item is the Strategic Plan which is currently out for member feedback. We are really looking forward to hearing what members think and to having the final Plan approved and ready for action following our March Board meeting in Sydney.

Once this Plan is approved, members should see a number of initiatives start to take shape – advocacy projects, networking opportunities and greater professional development opportunities. Please take the time to look at the strategy and provide your thoughts as this will be the key document that shapes our practice and our organisation in Australasia over the next couple of years.

The other exciting thing to report is that our management team has had a makeover to better meet the requirements of our strategic projects and member services. On behalf of the Board I would like to welcome our new people – Fran Morris (Professional Development Manager), Josie Gruber (Marketing Manager) and Kristy Clark (Training Administration Coordinator).

I would also like to congratulate Cathy Moses on taking on the role of Membership Relations Manager (who better to take on this role?) and acknowledge Nichola Charman who remains as our Membership Coordinator and Cristina Sacco as our Digital Communications Coordinator. We have a great team to now support our CEO Marion Short and CFO Nunzio Giunta and I personally cannot wait to see them kick some real goals over the next 12 months.
