Training… there is something new on the horizon

The training year at IAP2 Australasia has started frenetically – by the time you read this newsletter, we will have delivered 16 training dates throughout Australia and New Zealand in just the first six weeks of the 2018. A big thank you to our trainers who have delivered numerous trainings with grace, style and thoroughness, even in trying circumstances such as power outages and grounded airplanes.

There are many changes on the horizon, and you can expect announcements regarding new professional development opportunities for the engagement practitioners over the coming months.

Some of this change is due to an ever-increasing demand for our engagement courses which will mean more locations, more options and new courses.

Another change will be in the form of a new Training Coordinator. Fyona Matters who has been IAP2A’s Training Coordinator for the past four years will be joining her husband in their video production business. We wish Fyona well, and we are excited to annonce our new Training Administration Coordinator, Kristy Clark. Welcome aboard, Kristy!

New training for 2018 – tell us what you think

We have been working with a project panel of stakeholders to develop two new modules – Engagement Facilitation (available from June 2018) and Engagement Evaluation (available from October 2018). We will be seeking your views on the new modules through short surveys so if you would like to participate, please email: training@iap2.org.au with SURVEY ME as the subject line.

Could you be one of our new trainers?

With the demand for IAP2A’s courses continuing to grow, we will be looking to recruit new trainers for our team. We will be asking for Expressions of Interest in the next IAP2 newsletter in early April. If you are an experienced practitioner with over 10 years’ experience, and have a track record as a highly- regarded trainer in either a public course or in-company setting, then do watch out for this announcement.
