Deepen Your Engagement | Bay of Plenty Local Network Event Wrap-Up

Social Pinpoint and Consultation Manager staff embarked on a journey across New Zealand, starting from Auckland, and continuing on to Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton, and Matamata, culminating in Rotorua for the Bay of Plenty Networking event in partnership with IAP2 Australasia.

Held at the historic Princes Gate Hotel, 20 enthusiastic practitioners, including 2 from Fiji, gathered to delve into the realm of digital engagement.

The event provided a great opportunity for practitioners, some meeting for the first time, to foster a stronger local network committed to enhancing community engagement.

Andrew Coulson kickstarted the presentations by sharing insights on digital engagement trends from 2023 and predictions for 2024, emphasising the importance of peer learning and collaboration.

Following this, Meschka Seifritz, of Manaaki Kaimai Mamaku showcased their community engagement strategies in the Bay of Plenty, highlighting hybrid approaches and project planning for volunteer environmental initiatives.

Will Morrison from Social Pinpoint rounded off the presentations with a demo of their platforms, tailored to meet the diverse project needs of the practitioners in attendance.

As the event concluded, practitioners engaged in discussions, posed questions, and took part in a survey, leaving with Community Engage’mints’ and lollies, courtesy of Consultation Manager.
