Grow your career with Community Engagement Training
The value of authentic Community and Stakeholder Engagement is now more important than ever.
Factors such as the erosion of trust in institutions and organisation, the increase in the use of social media and interest in global issues signifies that communities and stakeholders now expect meaningful engagement (also known as public or civic participation) in decisions that affect them.
Get Started with Engagement Essentials
Engagement Essentials is IAP2 Australasia’s starter module in community and stakeholder engagement, and is suitable for all levels of engagement experience, including beginners and those new to communications and engagement. The sessions are highly interactive where you can network with professionals across varied industries.
The Engagement Essentials training module covers the key models of engagement and practice, and unpacks the following:
- The community Engagement Model to provide you with clarity in planning.
- Community and stakeholder engagement uses in the Australasian context.
- The five key elements that underpin effective engagement.
- The characteristics of successful engagement.
- Introduction to new engagement practices such as gamification and participatory budgeting.
By the end of this course you will understand the essential elements of a ‘best practice’ contemporary model for engagement and the next steps you, or your organisation need to take.
