Marion grew up in Yidinji Country, in the jungles of FNQ, and still thinks it’s normal to have wild cassowaries in the yard. After many years of teaching, coaching, writing, facilitating and getting lost in diverse communities across Australia and internationally, Marion is now based in Brisbane/Meanjin. With “agency” as her southern cross (as we’re in the southern hemisphere!), Marion works with individuals, communities and organisations to create learning and engagement experiences that maximise our unique human power to shape our circumstances, to motivate ourselves and to act positively on our environments.

Marion is also a sessional academic at Queensland University of Technology, works pro bono for a number of excellent charitable organisations, and was awarded the National Emergency Medal in 2017. There are usually plenty of laughs working with Marion, often sweat, sometimes tears and the occasional broken leg but hardly ever any blood.
