Planning and delivering effective meetings requires the ability to adjust to changing conditions. Experienced facilitators know that even the most carefully planned sessions can go off the rails. It’s essential for facilitators to develop the ability to hold their scripts loosely and to be nimble at the front of the room. They need the skills required to adapt to the unexpected, while maintaining a laser-sharp focus on achieving the session’s objectives.

Participants will learn from the presenter’s 20+ years of stories, examples and experience of coping with the unexpected, equipping them with tips and tools to avoid similar mistakes.

Please note that this is an adaptation of the longer Nimble Facilitator course.

Dr. Rebecca Sutherns, CPF is a dynamic speaker, engaging facilitator and astute strategist and coach with over 20 years of experience. She is the CEO of Sage Solutions, a facilitation and consulting firm that delivers strategic clarity and time well spent, through helping purpose-driven leaders align what’s important to them with what they do. Rebecca holds a PhD in Sustainable Communities and a Master’s in Public Administration. She is a skilled mediator, sought after conference presenter and avid traveller.
