Meet Nichola, your local network guru

Hi! I’m Nichola and I work in membership and local networks.

Over the past few months I have had the opportunity to catch up with some of our local networks across Australasia, and I look forward to catching up with the other regions in the months ahead.

Local networks is all about helping our local teams get connected, supporting each other and looking for opportunities to grow and advance not just individually, but also the practice as a whole.

I work closely with our local committees to create events, brainstorm ideas, research topics of interest and generally help out where ever possible while getting people connected.

Local networks are really important and we value and welcome people working or interested in the P2 environment to attend an event or activity to get connected.

We like to think we are very inclusive, and our events are open to both members and non-members. Looking after each individual as well as the greater P2 community is very important to us.

We currently have 14 local networks spread across Australia and New Zealand and also have interest from more far reaching areas that we hope to be able to look after and develop in the months ahead.

Consistent feedback we receive from the P2 community is that you want to get connected, you want to hear what is happening around you in community and stakeholder engagement, you want real life case studies to help you in your daily work and you want to know what lies ahead for the engagement practice. So in the months ahead our focus is on developing with our team down to earth, back to basics, grass roots activities, and opportunities to help put a smile on everyone’s face.

In the near future we will be expanding on our local network page on our website which will be available for members and non-members to, to get connected locally and find information about events and connecting with people in your area.

I love working so closely with our members and networks; member engagement and events is a real passion of mine.
