IAP2 Australasia at ALGA National General Assembly

Our Relationships Manager, Darren Keenan had the privilege to attend the Australian Local Government Association – National General Assembly recently in Canberra, as an exhibitor. This event is attended by elected members and senior management of local government agencies from across Australia.

Local government is the tier of government closest to the community and they spend a lot of time consulting and engaging with their communities. We shared many stories and examples of engagement that worked really well and engagement that did not quite hit the mark.

It was very refreshing to hear the commitment of all towards wanting to continually improve their engagement programs as they understood the value that these engagements added to their decision making processes.

It was great to catch up with many of our existing members, and also to make to new friends. We welcomed your interaction on our exhibit and enjoyed the opportunity to share learnings together.
