IAP2 Australasia announces new Chair and Deputy Chair

The IAP2 Australasia Board met recently for the first time since the Annual General Meeting in October and we are excited to announce the new Chair of the Board.

Donna Marshall has been nominated as the Chair. As well as serving on the Board, Donna is Director, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement with Aurecon.

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to Chair IAP2 Australasia over this new and exciting period in the organisation’s journey. We have so much planned for the year ahead. With our wonderful new CEO and her dedicated and professional team, I know members are going to see some real progress in professionalising our practice and enhancing value to our members,” she said.

“I would like to acknowledge the effort and dedication of the outgoing Chair, Leanne Hartill. She has made a tremendous contribution in this role over the past years, during a time of great challenge for the organisation. I have very big shoes to fill! She is now focusing her experience on some of the more complex strategic initiatives of the Board. I look forward to being able to update members on these as they progress.”

The Board also moved that Mandi Davidson will take on the role of Deputy Chair. Mandi is responsible for community engagement, communications and government liaison for Development Victoria.

“Having served on the Board for the past three years I have experienced IAP2’s growth first hand, so I am very pleased to be able to step into this role to support Donna.

“In addition, I will be continuing my role on the international Board and the committee reviewing IAP2’s structure globally and look forward to contributing to making us a strong and sustainable organisation for the future,” Mandi said.

Congratulations to Donna and Mandi on their new positions on the Board.
