Are you the newest member of IAP2A’s Member Value Committee?

Expressions of interest text with two standing pencils

The Member Value Committee (MVC) was established in 2019 to ensure the work of IAP2A benefits our diverse members across Australia and New Zealand.

The MVC is currently made up of four IAP2A Directors who contribute to a broad range of decisions and advocate on behalf of the membership of IAP2A.

IAP2A would now like to invite other IAP2A members to join this committee; individuals who reflect the broader diversity of our professional network.

We believe this is a great opportunity for members who might be considering nominating for the IAP2A board in the future.  It will provide you with practical experience in governance and insights into how the IAP2A board operates.

Key considerations for interested members:

  • IAP2A is committed to having MVC members who represent different ages, experience, sectors, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
  • MVC members are appointed annually and the group meets up to six times each year.
  • MVC members are expected to contribute time to participate at meetings, and understand papers and information provided.
  • MVC members are expected to apply good analytical skills, objectivity and judgement.
  • A copy of the MVC Terms of Reference can be found here

If this sounds like you, please prepare a short Expression of Interest (EOI) and send to the MVC Chair, Lance Brooks.

The EOI must be kept to one page and describe:

  • Your name, current interest and role in community engagement;
  • Any experience you have participating in committees or formal governance groups;
  • How you reflect the broader diversity of IAP2A’s membership;
  • Why you are interested in being a member of the MVC.

All EOIs must be received by Monday 30 November 2020 and you will be notified of the outcome in January 2021.
