IAP2A Community and Stakeholder Engagement Leaders Retreat

IAP2 Australasia Community and Stakeholder Engagement Leaders Retreat

The Engagement Leap

On 28 February 2024, senior engagement leaders from across Australia and New Zealand convened in Hobart to delve into topics such as Reflecting on Practice, Reimaging the Core Values, Evolving the Spectrum, Embedding Inclusion and Accessibility, and Taking the Leap.

In an effort to focus on envisioning the future direction, the three-day retreat provided delegates with the opportunity to engage in both structured and unstructured conversations, deliberating on issues impacting our practice, and addressing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

IAP2 Australasia, as part of its commitment to advancing contemporary engagement practices, initiated a workshop at the Leaders Retreat. This workshop marked the beginning of a process aimed at engaging members in identifying and defining best contemporary practices in the field. The evolution of the Spectrum and the development of the Core Values were the focus of two dedicated workshops at the Leaders Retreat.

IAP2 Australasia would like to acknowledge and thank all the participants who contributed to these conversations and content for this report. We would also like to thank Amy Hubbard, Anne Patillo and Sarah Wilcox for expertly facilitating these important conversations over three days and for their input into this report.

Find out more about the updates to the Spectrum and Core Values in the 2024 summary report.

We look forward to hosting you again, stay tuned for details on the next retreat!
