Speaker Bio

Kaz is an experienced leader with an interest in building values-driven, high performing teams during times of change and uncertainty. With a long-standing background in Emergency Management, Disaster Response, Facilitation and Stakeholder Engagement, Kaz has learned a thing or two about staying calm during moments of chaos and stress, leading conversations to enable human-centred growth and change, both within workplaces and communities.

Kaz has also worked on some of Victoria’s major incidents in managing public information out to communities at risk, including the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires, and the resulting work in improving information delivery following the Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission. She is a life-long learner, keenly interested in the continuous improvement cycle, and is often the first person to raise her hand if there’s a post incident analysis or debrief needing facilitation. In her time away from work, Kaz enjoys ‘extreme baking’, indie movies and spending time with family at her faux-farm in Silvan Victoria.
