Engaging communities on climate change and coastal adaptation is no easy task. There are expectations on what community wants from their space based on their connections to the area, varying levels of knowledge about what adaptation means, an uncertain future and of course emotions always run high when we’re talking about people’s homes, private land, businesses and public recreational space.

Engagement in Action winner announced
We received some fantastic entries to our first ever photography competition highlighting authentic engagement in action.
And our IAP2A Members have voted, though with so many great entires, it can’t have been easy.
Riding the concrete wave
Skateboard, BMX, scooter, in-line skaters and roller-skating populations in every community comprise passionate individuals who often intersect at skateparks. In Bundaberg, Queensland a $2 million upgrade of an existing skatepark has been guided by park users to create a space that reflects the needs of the community and the identity of the broader agricultural community in which the town is situated.

The hub contains information on a number of individual case studies relating to the infrastructure industry; Conference and Symposium Presentations on various topics including the Infrastructure Engagement Excellence Framework; Policies, Strategies and Frameworks; Reports; Member only content and news articles from fellow practitioners.
