OGPNZ Engagement Report Released

Kia ora koutou

It is a big week for the Open Government Partnership with the fourth OGP Global Summit taking place in Paris. The Director of engage2, Amelia Loye, is there and sharing her thoughts from the event on Twitter.

Our work facilitating the co-creation process to develop New Zealand’s second National Action Plan wrapped up in September. The plan and further information about the Open Government Partnership in New Zealand can be found on the OGPNZ website www.ogp.org.nz.

It was a great experience, working with the State Services Commission, other government agencies and Civil Society stakeholders to develop the plan. Everyone was committed to a collaborative process that would deliver a plan to take open government forward in New Zealand.

We are pleased to now share our engagement report summarising the way we engaged people and organisations across New Zealand, the outputs of the process, our lessons learned and recommendations to the State Services Commission. You can read the report on our site here.

As a team, we have reflected a lot on what worked well during the process and what we would have liked to do more of. We will share these thoughts with you in our next update soon.

We believe that the Open Government Partnership, and the work and discussions that take place around it, are more important than ever. We hope to keep working with you to address its great challenges and further strengthen the good work taking place in New Zealand.

Do stay in touch with us here at engage2 in NZ and share your thoughts with us at any time through ogp@engage2.co.nz.
