2016 Conference Citizens’ Jury Workshop Resources Now Available

The 2016 IAP2 Australasia Conference in Adelaide: The Future of Democracy and Engagement, featured three days of outstanding keynote speeches, presentations, workshops and more.

A highlight was the Citizens’ Jury Workshop on the first day, with Max Hardy.

Citizens’ Juries are changing the way democracy is done in South Australia by creating a new balance between experts and the public. Max explored the theory, risk, benefits and imperatives of citizens’ juries with an expert panel and created an interactive audience discussion: Gail Fairlamb, Emily Jenke, Taryn Waters and Emeel Habib; the Authority, a Jury facilitator, an Expert Witness and a Jury Member.

We have received numerous requests from attendees to make presentations from this session and others available to share with colleagues.

We are pleased to announce that you can now download Max Hardy’s presentation and you can also read the questions and feedback crowd sourced for the panel & participant take-aways/feedback.

More resources and presentations from the 2016 Conference will be released in the coming months. Stay tuned!
