Establishing a Strategic Engagement Framework is the third course as part of the reinvigorated IAP2 Australasia Advanced Certificate in Engagement.
This course is designed to elevate your organisation’s engagement practices to the next level. Achieving this requires creating a consistent impact from engagement across all activities, projects and policy making. It means embedding high-quality engagement practices into the core of your organisation’s strategy, policy making and operations
By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge and tools to recognise the critical features of good organisational engagement practices, and understand the value of using an organisational strategic engagement framework to foster a sustained approach to organisational engagement.
One Day – Virtual Classroom (8:30am – 5pm AEDT)
Course Aim and Objectives
The aim of the Establishing a Strategic Engagement Framework course is to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the key elements of effective organisational engagement practices and discover the benefits of implementing an organisational engagement framework to support a consistent and sustainable approach to engagement.
Participants will:
- Analyse the broader context to identify changes in expectations of or approaches to engagement.
- Identify the value and contribution of a framework in building the strategic impact of engagement.
- Identify the key elements of quality organisational engagement practice.
- Build a strategic engagement framework.
- Identify the core capabilities required at an organisational level to create strategic impact from engagement.
- Create a strategy for growing the strategic impact of engagement for your organisation.
- Facilitate the development of a commitment for engagement within your organisation.
- Identify individuals’ roles in supporting and leading the strategic engagement development.
- Identify key steps and strategies for change and development.
Pre-Requisites
As part of the IAP2 Australasia Advanced Certificate in Engagement, this course has been designed for the experienced practitioner who has:
- Completed the IAP2 Australasia Certificate of Engagement.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading and managing engagement projects to meet the standard requirements.
- An in-depth understanding of engagement frameworks and practices.
- The requirement to develop strategies, or previous experience in developing engagement strategies.
If you meet the minimum years of experience criteria but have not completed the IAP2 Australasia Certificate of Engagement, you may apply for an exemption.
