An exciting part-time opportunity has opened within our Innovations and Performance Team in the Engagement space for the next 18 months:
Position Title: Engagement Project Officer
Position Number: POS1676
In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the City of Launceston’s commitment to engaging its residents and community through a collaborative, innovative, and consistent approach. The preferred schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, totalling 22.8 hours per week, though we can offer flexibility for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and is motivated with a willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Community Focused: considers community/customers in decision making
- Create and Innovate: shows initiative and& considers different ideas and perspectives
- Workload Management: Demonstrated experience in managing a varied workload efficiently, strong administration and organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities, and achieve deliverables.
- Engagement Experience: Formal qualifications in engagement such as IAP2, public relations, communications or related discipline and/or possess experience and understanding of contemporary principles, techniques, and practices in community engagement, including exposure to the IAP2 engagement practices (desirable).
